Our Story
From Traditional Manufacturing to Global Recognition
Founded in 1975, Dasa Coir began as a small-scale manufacturer producing coco peat and coir fibre through traditional milling techniques.
In 1990, we expanded our operations by becoming a trusted subcontract manufacturer supplying premium coir fibre products to export companies.
Recognizing the growing global demand for sustainable growing media, Dasa Coir entered the international export market in 2000, supplying premium coconut husk-based products directly to customers around the world.
Today, we proudly serve more than 25 countries while continuing to uphold the values of quality, integrity and environmental responsibility that have guided us since day one.

M.P. Munasinghe
With over 45 years of experience in Sri Lanka's coconut industry, Mr. Munasinghe founded Dasa Coir with a vision of creating world-class coconut husk-based products for international markets.
M.C.C. Udayanga
Holding a Master's Degree in Entrepreneurship & Management from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Udayanga brings more than two decades of industry experience. He currently serves as the Secretary of the Exporters Association of Coconut Based Substrates – Sri Lanka.
Darshani Rathnaweera
With extensive experience in the coconut substrate industry and postgraduate qualifications in Business Administration, Darshani contributes to the company's strategic growth and operational excellence.
